Host Family

  Algumas vezes demora para se receber uma host family, tem gente que só encontra uma uma semana antes, ou então viaja sem uma. Eu recebi a minha mês passado, relativamente cedo para o meu tipo de programa, mas demorou para confirmar porque eu vou ficar em um "double placement".
  Pra quem não sabe, double placement é quando um outro intercambista vai ficar na mesma casa que você, (no meu caso, um norueguês da minha idade), então ambos os intercambistas tem que aceitar ter outro estudante na mesma casa. Demorou um tempinho para a confirmação chegar, eu já estava pensando que não ia ficar mais com aquela família, então num belo dia (na verdade foi de noite), eu recebo uma ligação do meu pai dizendo para olhar meu e-mail, e lá estava a confirmação e todas as informações da família.
  Na verdade essa família em que eu estou é temporária, talvez eu só fique lá no meu primeiro mês, porque a filha mais velha deles está se casando, então eles estão muito ocupados e ter dois intercambistas lá vai dar muito trabalho. Mas eu torço pra acabar ficando todo o programa, porque eles são muito legais. Eles tem 3 filhos, mas só o mais novo mora em casa.
  Acho que é só isso, se eu lembrar de alguma outra coisa eu posto.


  Sometimes it takes some time to you receive a family, there is people that only find a family one week before, or that travel without any. I received mine last month, relatively early for my kind of program, but it took some time to confirm because I'll stay in a "double placement".
  For who don't know, "double placement" is whe a other exchange student lives in the same house as you, (in my case, a norwegian of my age), so both the exchange students have to agree to have another exchange student at the same house. It took some time to the confirmation arrive, and I was begining to think that I wasn't live with that family anymore, then in a beautiful day (actually it was night) I get a call from my father saying to look to my email, and there was the confirmation and all my family's information.
  Actually this family that I'm going to live is temporary, maybe I'll just stay there in my first month, because their oldest daughter is getting married, so they are very busy, and  to have two exchange students living there will be too much work. But I cheer for that I stay there until the end of the program, because they are very nice. They have three kids, but only the youngest lives in the house.
